I am Roxane McWilliams, an educator and multidisciplinary St. Louis-based artist. I began taking pictures almost a decade ago, inspired by my daughter who was taking a photography class at the time. She was capturing beautiful images and I wanted to do the same.

When searching for beauty in a subject, I tend to find it in the simple things, and often in the small things. With each photo I take, my goal is to capture not only the beauty of the natural world, but the subject’s personality- the unique and quirky character of nature’s flora and fauna. Drawing from my foundations in theater and music, I thoughtfully craft photographs that create harmonies of color and composition, highlighting the connection between art and nature.
